The VR Storytellers Guild is a platform for forging creative alliances between young Indian creative professionals towards expanding and mentoring their vision for Virtual Reality.
Crossover partnered with Quicksand to create this platform with an intent to push the first wave of Indian Virtual Reality creators towards authentic content geared at global recognition. The VR Guild connects meaningful Indian contexts and partners to a diverse group of young professionals, mentored by international professionals.
The Guild’s objective is to catalyse sustainable creativity in Indian Virtual Reality production, starting with a series of VR Storytelling Workshops. Teams created prototypes that responded to real world briefs to ensure that creative VR production has a route to market in India. The first edition was held in Bangalore in 2017 with a second lab taking place in Mumbai in 2018.
